Follow these 5 steps to ensure you are virus-free when entering your home! Malaysia’s Ministry of Health has released an official guide on how to properly disinfect yourself before entering your home. 

When you remove the mask, do not touch the surface of the mask. It should be removed from the mask strap, then put the mask in a plastic bag and thrown into a trash can. Then remember to wash your hands with a disinfectant containing alcohol.

The disinfection steps are as follows:

1. Remove the mask, put it in a plastic bag, and throw it into a trash can. 

2. Try to avoid contact with the family when entering your home

3. Head directly to the toilet, take off your clothes and soak them in laundry detergent. 

4. Use soap to clean your face, hands, and body properly 

5. Complete the above steps before contacting your family
